How far are you from the beach?

We are on a sandy hill looking down on the beach which is about a
block or so away.

Can you walk to the beach?

Yes you can but the hillside is a bit rough and it is much easier to
drive down. Takes about two minutes.

How far are you from town?

About 2 1/2 miles from greater downtown San Felipe. Five minutes by
car.

Are there restaurants and grocery stores there?

Yes, there are many good restaurants and grocery stores here.

How many bedrooms and baths in the condos?

Each condo has one bedroom and one bath. There is a sofa in the living
room that converts to a bed. Both beds are queen size.

Are the condos air conditioned?

Yes.

Do they have TV?

Yes. There are 50 English channels available on satellite TV.

Can you drink the water?

Yes, but we do not recommend it as the change in chemicals from your
water could cause an adverse reaction. Bottled water is extremely
inexpensive here and readily available. All restaurants use bottled
water.

What do you do for recreation?

Water sports of all kinds are prevalent here. If you do not have your
own boat or jet skis there is always fishing, fishing charters, ATV
rentals, touring, shopping, shelling, the banana boats, swimming or
just plain relaxing at the beach. Check out the many Activities going on here.

What about night time recreation?

There are several clubs and discos in town where you will find dancing
and the beverage of your choice waiting for you. There are restaurants
featuring French Cuisine, Mexican, Italian, Chinese and American
food ...not to mention Seafood.

Is there a one hour photo shop there?

Yes.

What is the weather like?

July through September the weather is hot. Just bring shorts and
swimsuits and an umbrella for the beach. October through June
temperatures Range from 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Never cold, always comfortable. Rainfall is about two and a half inches per year.

Do I need Mexican auto insurance?

Although there is no law requiring auto insurance if you should
have an accident you could be in very deep trouble if you do not have it. We highly recommend you purchase it for the length of your stay here for your own peace of mind
.

Is it possible to bring a rented car into Mexico?

Yes. Budget rentals now provide this service.

Is there a church there?

There are several churches here. Catholic, Jehovah's Witness, 7th Day
Adventist, Mormon, Church of God in Christ and others as well as a thriving
nondenominational English speaking church which is located on Calzada Chetumál, right across the street from the Clam Man.

 

Is crime a problem there? Is it safe to walk the beaches or the streets?

Crime against persons is nearly unheard of. It is absolutely safe to go wherever you please without fear of being mugged or hurt. Crime here
usually consists of robberies of electrical type appliances found in houses
which are unoccupied.

Is the highway safe and in good condition?

The road from Mexicali is two lane and is constantly maintained in good condition. We recommend you avoid driving at night however. Not because of bandits but because the road is narrow with no shoulder and the cars you meet do not always have dimmer lights. It is easy to be blinded by oncoming headlights creating a potentially dangerous situation.

What if I need a doctor or a hospital while I am there. Is there anyone or
anything there?

Absolutely! Just check out our available Professional Services and Medical Facilities.

Is there an ATM there?

Yes. But remember that the money you receive will be in pesos.

Do you take credit cards?

At this time we do not take credit cards but we are seriously
considering the possibility of doing so in the future.
